How we measure prices
We are a search engine, not a ticket seller. Here is how our prices come about.
Measurement profile
Prices are for 1 adult, 2nd class, no railcard, and for the cheapest available fare type.
How often we measure
We measure prices periodically on a schedule, not live on every search. That lets us build price history and keeps the site fast.
Which sources we use
We use open timetable data and measured prices from approved sources, plus manual observations. Every price shows when it was measured.
What freshness means
Every price carries a measurement time. If a price is older than 72 hours we no longer show it as a current price.
Why the price may differ
The final price at the seller can differ due to exchange rates, dynamic pricing or railcards. Our price is an observation, not a guarantee.
Separate tickets and passenger rights
Two separate tickets can be cheaper, but if a train is delayed you often have fewer rights than with a single through ticket. We always warn about this.
Rankings are not for sale
The order of results is never for sale. Affiliate status has no influence on placement.
How affiliate links work
Some links earn us a commission if you book. They are always clearly labelled and never change the order.
